RushI awoke to the stale smell of blood. How long had I been out? Was I even alive? My mind ached. I couldn’t see anything, except a faint yellow light in front of me. Was it possibly salvation? No. It was just a reminder that this wasn’t a dream. Just a manifested nightmare I would not wake up from. I strained to think of how long I had been here, in this dark chamber. I didn’t know.
